Strengthening IT application in administrative reform
(VOVworld)- The government, the Prime Minister, ministries and agencies have issued several legal documents to simplify nearly 94% of administrative procedures in order to improve Vietnam’s economic competitiveness and attract more investment. The Ministry of Finance has worked with relevant agencies to implement a one-stop shop mechanism. The application of information technology in administrative procedures and public services has also been strengthened. Speaking at a meeting of the government’s Steering Committee for Administrative Reform, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, who is also Head of the Committee, said:“Each ministry and locality needs to work out specific solutions to strengthen administrative reform. The Government Office and the Ministry of Information and Communication need to work out guidelines and plans to implement the government’s plan for e-government. Ministries and sectors need to work hard to better reform their administrative procedures”.
