Strengthening judicial reform in the new context
(VOVworld)- On Saturday, the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform convened a meeting to review its performance in 2016 and set tasks for 2016.

Speaking at the meeting, President Truong Tan Sang, who is also Head of the Committee, said judicial reform has been responded by local and central administrations and awareness about judicial rights and law-governed state have increased. Sang urged the judicial sector to exert further efforts in 2016 because this will be the first year implementing the Resolution of the 12th Party Congress and expanding Vietnam’s international integration. Sang said: “In face of both challenges and opportunities in the next five years, the judicial sector needs to improve its performance to contribute to national growth. It’s necessary to strengthen judicial reforms to enhance the development of a socialist law-governed state”.
In addition to fine-tuning the Steering Committee for the next five years, the State President stressed the need to prepare for the institutionalization of the 2013 Constitution.
