(VOV) - An engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to lay a 110kV submarine cable was signed today between Vietnam Electricity’s Southern Power Company and Italian Prysmian PowerLink SRL.  This is the first contract of its kind in Southeast Asia. The cable will cost nearly 67 million Euros and be capable of transmitting 131MW from Ha Tien town to Phu Quoc island, both in Kien Giang province. The project, scheduled for completion next year, is funded by the World Bank and  EVN SPC.
