(VOVworld) – 170 overseas Vietnamese students attending the Vietnam Summer Camp 2014 arrived in Ly Son island of the central coastal province of Quang Ngai, on Friday to learn about and pay tribute to soldiers who defended the Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelago. They visited a monument and a memorial area, met with district leaders, presented gifts to fishermen, and talked with them about their daily activities.

On Saturday, they will participate in a requiem for heroic martyrs held at Linh Ung pagoda and a live televised program at the East Sea park in central Da Nang city. The trip is expected to inspire love of overseas Vietnamese youth for the homeland.
