Syria has no stock of chemical weapons: Syrian Ambassador to the UN
(VOVWORLD) - Syria declared on Wednesday that it has destroyed its chemical weapons arsenals and rejected "false allegations" that President Bashar al-Assad’s government has been using chemical weapons.

Hussam Edin Aala, Syria's Ambassador to the UN, said that terrorist groups including al-Nusra and the Islamic State (ISIS) have such weapons, but that Syria condemns the use of chemical weapons anywhere.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Syria has given up its chemical weapons and put those weapons under international control. He accused the US and its allies of making false allegations to undermine Syria’s political system.
US Disarmament Ambassador Robert Wood accused Russia of not fulfilling its duty in supervising the elimination of Syria’s stored chemical weapons. He said Russia has failed to block Syria's use of banned weapons.
