Mistura said the ceasefire agreement reached by Russia and the US has paved the way for humanitarian activities and set up a new round of peace talks. He said there would be a press conference on Friday about resuming the talks, and all parties will have half a day to accept or reject the agreement.
The International Syria Support Group (ISSG) will discuss the ceasefire details later. The agreement will be adopted by the UN Security Council, paving the way for a "cessation of hostilities" to take effect Friday at midnight.
