Syrian chemical weapon to be disposed abroad

(VOVworld)- In a meeting with Sigrid Kaag, leader of the joint Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons mission in Syria, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Riabkov said that Syrian chemical weapons could be disposed of outside Syria. Kaag said several rounds of talks have been conducted by representatives of Russia, the US, and the Syrian government. She declined to further comment on the possibility of delivery of Syrian chemical weapons to Albania to be destroyed. According to Russia’s Kommersant daily newspaper, Syrian chemical weapons could be delivered to Albania. 2 million USD is the amount Russia has pledged to support this activity.
