The agreement was reached just a few days after the previous truce was shattered by intense fighting.
The new ceasefire supposedly went into effect at 2 PM local time, to stop the exchange of fire in the city of Hasakah.
Earlier, a delegation of Russian officials began efforts to promote reconciliation between the Kurdish police and the pro-government National Defense Forces (NDF).
It’s said both sides reached a ceasefire last Sunday but Kurdish forces immediately denied this.
