Syrian government says Parliamentary elections go smoothly

Syrian Interior Minister Mohammad Ibrahim al-Sha'ar said that the Monday’s parliamentary elections were held smoothly. Meanwhile, Khalaf al-Azawi, head of the higher committee for elections, said they were monitored closely by an independent judicial commission and reported by over 200 media agencies. He also said 100 lawyers and scholars participated in monitoring this process and there was no complaint so far about it.
