Anti-austerity protests also occurred in other cities, including Liverpool, Glasgow and Bristol. Participants rejected a plan to cut public spending, delay to raise salary for state officials, fire health staff, and privatize the health system. The protesters objected the re-arming of Britain’s nuclear forces worth 37 billion USD. They held banners saying “End Austerity Now”, “No Cuts”, and “We need jobs, no nuclear missile”. They protested Britain’s involvement in NATO’s activities in Iraq and Ukraine.
