Tet gathering held for diplomatic corps in Hanoi
(VOVWORLD) - The Foreign Ministry, in coordination with the Hanoi People’s Committee, held a gathering on the occasion of the Vietnamese traditional New Year (Tet) for the diplomatic corps in Hanoi on Tuesday.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh said that in 2020 Vietnam will continue to receive support from governments and people and international organizations around the world.
Mr. Minh said Vietnam will work closely with friends and partners to promote the role of the UN, trade liberalization, economic integration, connectivity, multilateralism, and international law, and will contribute to the handling of all regional and global challenges.
Vietnam will also strive to realize the theme for ASEAN Year 2020, “Cohesive and Responsive”, while building a united and strong ASEAN Community that will continue to play a central role and make major contributions to peace, security and development in the world.
Palestinian Ambassador Saadi Salama said 2020 is the time for Vietnam to contribute an important voice to promoting adherence to the UN Charter and international law and maintaining peace and security in the world.
