"We the soldiers consider each other members of a big family and each of us was assigned with specific tasks in preparation for Tet. This gives us the feeling of living at home. We will hold a big feast on the lunar New Year’s Eve and many sports events during the first days of the lunar New Year in addition to visiting people living on the island to extend New Year greetings."
The army soldiers and staff on Nam Yet island have fulfilled their tasks of protecting the nation’s maritime sovereignty. They have also contributed to search and rescue activities at sea to ensure safety for fishermen working in the areas.
