(VOVWORLD) - Soldiers and other residents on Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago will receive help from mainlanders to celebrate the upcoming lunar new year (Tet) holiday.
They will receive 30,000 USD in cash, kumquat trees, apricot blossoms, fruits, food, beverages, and other gifts.
Colonel Dao Giang Hai, Political Commissar of the Truong Sa 146 Brigade, said: “Our Brigade and Truong Sa district’s People Committee have thoroughly prepared for the Tet celebration of officers, soldiers, and other residents of Truong Sa. We have received gifts from organizations and individuals across Vietnam. We hope the islanders will enjoy their Tet holiday in full.”
3 vessels carrying Tet items will head to Truong Sa on Friday.
