This is the second time the Thai court has rejected Suthep’s lawyer’s request for the withdrawal of the warrant. On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister and Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs Surapong said the government would consider enforcing an emergency decree because Suthep has continued to block private companies and carry out a number of attacks on government agencies. Surapong also asked Army Commander-in-Chief General Prayuth Chan-ocha to indict Suthep on rebellion charges and demanded Thai businesses to increase the pressure on Suthep, whose protests have caused the private sector to lose 2.6 billion USD.
