(VOVworld) – Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej has approved an interim constitution.

According to a statement by Thailand’s National Council for Peace and Order, coup leader General Prayuth Chan-ocha received the endorsed charter from His Majesty at an audience at Klai Kangwon Palace in Hua Hin district of Prachuap Khiri Khan on Tuesday. The interim constitution will take effect later this month, paving the way for the setting up of a national legislative council, an interim government and a national reform council.
