(VOVworld) – Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang held talks with Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha in Beijing on Monday pledging to boost bilateral relations.

Speaking at the Great Hall of the People, Keqiang said 2015 marks the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Thailand. He said he hopes both sides will cement their traditional friendship and boost cooperation in pursuit of win-win reciprocity, and improve their comprehensive strategic partnership, highlighting the target of increasing bilateral trade to 100 billion USD by next year. He noted that China regards ties with ASEAN as a priority in its neighbourhood diplomacy and welcomes the formation of an ASEAN community next year.

Thai Premier Prayut said Thailand is committed to elevating bilateral relations and boosting trade, investment and financial cooperation with China. He invited Chinese investors to increase construction and investment in Thailand.
