(VOVworld) – Thailand has been endorsed as the G77 Chairmanship for 2016. The special representative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Apichart Chinwanno said this has reflected the international community’s confidence with Thailand on the global stage. He added that in its new position Thailand will promote the implementation of new sustainable development goals in 2015. Thailand will boost south-south cooperation between developed countries and plays as a bridge connecting developed and developing countries. Thailand is campaigning for a UN Security Council seat for the 2017-2018 term.
