According to her proposal, the National Reform Council, which is not a government organization, will consist of 499 members, elected from 2,000 representatives from every social class. An independent Committee comprising 11 members will be in charge of selecting council members. The new Council’s duty will be to revise Thailand’s constitution, reform electoral regulations, deal with corruption, and devise a social and economic reform plan. The council will also be responsible for executing these plans until a general election takes place and a new cabinet and Parliament begins operating.
