(VOVworld) - Vietnam and Thailand have agreed to boost defense co-operation following productive talks between senior defense officials. At a meeting with Permanent Secretary of the Thai Defence Ministry General Tanongsak Apirakiotin in Hanoi yesterday, Deputy Defence Minister Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh praised the co-operation in recent years and expressed his belief that this visit will open new prospects for cooperation. The two agreed to focus on delegation exchanges, training, sharing experiences, joint sea patrols, and search and rescue, building on the cooperation agreement signed by the two defense ministries.
