The EU is divided on migration crisis

(VOVworld) – Tension has increased among EU member countries on how to solve the biggest migrant crisis since WWII. Thousands more people have poured into countries located at the periphery of the European Union's Schengen Zone including Greece and Italy.

Slovakia’s foreign minister Miroslav Lajcak told reporters that Europe’s Schengen passport-free zone has “fallen apart” amid the sharp escalation of the refugee crisis. Austria has opposed Germany’s request to ease migration policies for people from Syria, saying it will inflate pressures on Hungary, a transit point for refugees migrating to Germany. 

Greece has asked for the EU’s immediate actions and UN’s intervention to deal with the crisis.
