Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Cuong said at the function: “both Vietnam and Japan have experienced shattering wars so we are well aware of the price. No nation understands better than we do the value of peace nor wants more to join efforts to secure peace. That is the message of this program, which combines the images of Vietnam’s lotus and Japan’s cherry blossom. Vietnamese people want to convey to their Japanese peers a message that Vietnam is a peace- loving nation that wants to work with Japan to achieve bilateral and universal piece.”

The program was co-organised by the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, Youth newspaper, and the Mainichi daily newspaper.
