In recent years, Israel has followed policies which have suffocated the basic human rights of Palestinians.

This was said in a United Nations report issued on Monday on the human rights situation in the Palestinian territory illegally occupied by Israel. 46 years since Israel’s occupation of Palestine began, the territory’s people have been not protected by law, their basic rights have not been respected and they have had to deal with many challenges and difficulties. The report called on the world community to establish a Committee to investigate Israel’s prisons and protest against inhumane repressive activities pursued by Israel against the Palestinians and take measures to protect the basic human rights of the Palestinian people.
