(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, on Sunday conferred the First-class Labor Order on the Voice of Vietnam for the media agency’s outstanding achievements over the past 75 years.

Addressing a jubilant ceremony celebrating VOV’s 75th anniversary in Hanoi, the Prime Minister emphasized how much the media agency has grown.
He said, “Over the past 75 years, the Voice of Vietnam has strongly developed in all aspects. From just being a radio station, until now, the Voice of Vietnam has had television channels, and print and electronic newspapers, becoming a multimedia agency, which produces many specialized programs and broadcasts programs in 13 ethnic languages and 13 foreign languages plus Vietnamese.
“The Voice of Vietnam strongly disseminates information on modern media platforms, serving the public at home and abroad. The Voice of Vietnam has affirmed its role as one of the most important media agencies of Vietnam, representing the voice of the Party, State and people of Vietnam and a bridge of friendship and trust to connect Vietnam with international friends," Mr.Phuc added.

Voice of Vietnam President Nguyen The Ky vowed best effort to make VOV prosper.
“Promoting a glorious 75-year tradition, the cadres, reporters, editors, and artists have been striving to be dynamic, creative, and innovative, building the Voice of Vietnam into a truly strong and comprehensive multimedia agency, maintaining its position as the leading media agency of the Party and State, bridging Vietnam with international friends, and serving as a trusted forum of people," said Mr. Ky.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc also awarded Hero of the People's Armed Forces title to the Voice of Vietnam Ensemble, First-class Independence Order to the News and Current Affairs Department (VOV1), and First-class Labor Order to the World Service (VOV5).

The Voice of Vietnam officially broadcast its first program at 11:30 am on September 7, 1945. Throughout its 75-year history, the Voice of Vietnam has been honored with noble awards: Gold Star Order, Ho Chi Minh Order, Independence Order, Hero of the People's Armed Forces title, and Labor Hero title.
VOV currently runs 8 radio channels, 17 TV channels, 2 electronic newspapers, 1 print newspaper, 6 domestic bureaus and 13 foreign bureaus all over the world, 1 music assemble and 2 broadcasting colleges. The Voice of Vietnam employs nearly 2,700 cadres, editors, reporters, technicians, artists and other staff.
