The decision comes after months of repeated failure to deliver a Brexit. Following a meeting with May, Graham Brady, chair of the 1922 Committee said they have agreed that he and Ms May will meet following the second reading of the Withdrawal Agreement Bill to agree a timetable for the election of a new leader of the Conservative and Unionist Party. He added that the Prime Minister is determined to secure the UK’s departure from the EU and is devoting her efforts to securing a second reading of the bill in the week of June 3, 2019, and the passage of that Bill and the subsequent departure of the UK from the EU by the summer. 

British lawmakers will vote on Prime Minister May’s Brexit deal in the first week of June, the same week US President Donald Trump is due to visit Britain.
