(VOVworld) – A seminar presenting survey results on community oversight of poverty reduction programs to help prevent corruption was held in Hanoi on Friday by the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam in cooperation with the Irish Embassy in Hanoi.

864 questionnaire sheets were completed in 4 cities and provinces in different regions of Vietnam. The survey results supported the Party and State’s policy of providing community oversight of poverty reduction and other investment programs. Seminar participants urged state agencies to amend and supplement laws related to community investment oversight, especially in poverty reduction programs, to increase public awareness and prevent corruption.
