Voters expressed their pleasure over the current economic development and social stability. However, they voiced their concern over hotly contested social issues. Voter Tran Van Trung called for more investment in traffic infrastructure in the Mekong Delta for road, rail, air and water transport. Ms. Ngan said: "The slow rate of disbursement of public investment funds will be questioned during the National Assembly’s year-end sessions, and the Prime Minister will directly address such questions. The laws are not entirely to blame, as the disbursement rate has reached 50%. Rather, it’s the implementation of the laws that has led to such problems. The National Assembly and the government will strictly supervise the disbursement of public investment funds."
Regarding voter concern over bribery for jobs and promotions, Ms. Ngan said: "The Politburo and the Party Central Committee have strictly punished those violating regulations on fighting bribery for jobs and promotions. The Politburo and Party Central Committee members must set an example in this matter under the supervision of Party members and people."
