150 representatives of local airlines, travel agencies, hotels, and experts participated in the ceremony.
Ha Van Sieu, deputy director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, said Phu Quoc is the first destination in Vietnam chosen to organize a tourism stimulus program, with the engagement of travel-focused micro influencers (KOL) and farm trip travelers.
He said, “Stimulating domestic tourism demand is necessary to revive the tourism industry that has been badly affected by the COVID-19 epidemic. Domestic stimulus is now the lifesaver of tourism. We need the cohesion and participation of all parties in the tourism ecosystem, including localities, local tourism management departments, destinations, and businesses. In addition, communication plays a very important role in spreading the message of safe and attractive tourism. "
