TPP members discuss new framework without US
(VOVWORLD) - TPP members agreed to create a new framework for implementing the Trans Pacific Partnership and not lower their trade criteria after the US’s withdrawal . Chief negotiators of 11 TPP countries met in Kanagawa, Japan, on Wednesday and Thursday.
The next step will be to decide the format for the new framework and discuss whether to revise trade and investment regulations. Any changes need approval from all 11 members.

The TPP chief negotiators will meet again in August or September in Australia to accelerate TPP implementation before the Asia – Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Vietnam in November.
