(VOVworld) – A conference on the TPP and its impacts on Vietnam’s economy, finance and intellectual property opened in Nghe An province on Thursday.
Delegates discussed the opportunities and challenges created by the TPP in a number of areas, preparations by Vietnamese businesses, and institutional and legal solutions. Head of the National Assembly Committee for External Relations Tran Van Hang said the TPP has prompted Vietnam to finetune its institutions, reform its growth model, and create a more dynamic, transparent, and effective business environment. Delegates said relevant agencies should evaluate the compatibility of the TPP with Vietnam’s constitution and laws on economics, finance, and intellectual property.
