Tribute paid to ancestors’ merits for national development
(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue on Wednesday offered incense to commemorate the ancestors who had contributed to Vietnam and prayed for national peace and prosperity on the occasion of the opening of Spring at Kinh Thien Palace at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Hanoi.

Afterwards, during talks with the Imperial Citadel staff, Chairman Hue emphasized that the Citadel marks a thousand years of history, converging the sacred souls of mountains, rivers, and essences of national culture, where successive dynasties expanded the country's karma, and built and protected national mountains and rivers.
On the same day, the Department of Culture and Sports of Thua Thien-Hue province opened the Huyen Tran Temple festival in the Spring of the Year of the Tiger 2022 to commemorate those who had great merits in expanding the country's territory, namely King Tran Nhan Tong and Princess Huyen Tran.
During the two-day festival, visitors are treated to lion and dragon dances, martial arts performances, stick pushing competition, Hue singing performance, and ethnic musical instrument concert. Huyen Tran Temple festival will be followed by activities and events of the Four Seasons Hue Festival 2022.
