Trump had wanted to meet Putin before his inauguration on January, 20th, but Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that during their first phone conversation since Trump won the US election, no agreement to meet before Trump’s inauguration was reached. He said the phone two did not discuss the Ukraine crisis or the status of Crimea, which Russia annexed from Ukraine in 2014.
