(VOVworld) – Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has accused international creditors of trying to “humiliate” Greece and called on the EU to reconsider its support for the harsh reform proposals laid out by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

He told lawmakers in his leftist Syriza party that an insistence by international lenders on further cuts was politically motivated, adding that the global lender bore “criminal responsibility” for austerity measures that had plunged Greece into a six-year recession.
Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis said that Greece wouldn’t bring new reform proposals to Luxembourg, where the finance ministers of 19 Eurozone countries will meet up on Thursday.
