Turkey continues to purchase Russian missile defense system
(VOVWORLD) - Turkey will not back down in buying Russian S-400 missile defense system despite the US threats of sanctions, President’s spokesman Ibrahim Kalin said Friday.

He added that Russian President Vladimir Putin is planning to visit Turkey in the first week of 2020.
Turkey signed a 2.5 million USD contract to buy the Russian S-400 missile defense. The first patch was handed to Turkey in July. President Recep Erdogan said Ankara will deploy the system next Spring. Turkey is considering to buy Russian Su-35 and Su-57 jet fighters to replace the US’s F-35.
