Turkey to expand Syria operation
(VOVWORLD) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday vowed to expand Turkey’s military campaign against Kurdish-held areas in Syria as far as the Iraq border.

He said Turkey will continue until it clears the corridor held by the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG), including Manbij, Ayn al-Arab, Tel-Abyad, Ras al-Ayn, and Qamishli.
The statement came one day after Erdogan announced that his troops had taken control of Afrin city, where reside the majority of Kurdish people who live in northern Syria.
