Typhoon Lekima kills 30 in China
(VOVWORLD) - A search and rescue operation was underway on Sunday after the deadly Typhoon Lekima left 30 dead and trail of destruction across China’s eastern coastal cities, Zhejiang province.

More than 1 million people in Shanghai and neighboring Zhejiang province have been evacuated due to the storm, which affected about 5 million people. China’s National Meteorological Center issued a red alert for Lekima, the strongest typhoon hitting China since 2014.
