The agreements in energy, finance-banking, investment, culture, education, and high technology, signed Tuesday on the occasion of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang’s visit to the UK, are expected to improve bilateral relations and increase China’s business opportunities in the UK. Britain’s BP Oil and Gas Corporation signed a contract worth 20 billion USD to provide natural liquid gas for China over the next 20 years. China’s largest private investment corporation – China Minsheng Investment (CMI) – will set up an office in London to invest 1.5 billion USD in financial services, high technology, offshore platform construction, new energy, and environment protection.
