UK donates additional 415,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses to Vietnam
(VOVWORLD) - The British Embassy on Tuesday handed over the donation of 415,000 doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine to the Vietnamese Health Ministry.

The batch of the vaccine was manufactured in the UK, according to a statement by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
The Health Ministry said the donation is valuable and timely as Vietnam is accelerating its largest-ever vaccination campaign.
The ministry also appreciated the UK’s contribution to the COVAX vaccine-sharing facility which enables equal access to COVID-19 vaccines to all countries.
By Tuesday morning, Vietnam had administered almost 7 million COVID-19 vaccine doses. The country aims inoculate 70% of its 96-million population by early next year.
