UK foreign minister reassured EU will not block vaccine supplies
(VOVWORLD) - Britain’s foreign minister Dominic Raab said Saturday the EU has reassured him that it will not disrupt COVID-19 vaccine supplies to the UK.

The statement was made after what Raab described as a “constructive conversation” with European Commission Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis. Mr. Raab said on Twitter that the COVID-19 epidemic can only be defeated by international collaboration. UK COVID-19 vaccine deployment chief Nadhim Zahawi said the same day that Britain’s focus is on collaboration with the European Union on vaccines.
The European Commission has adopted a regulation to control the export of coronavirus vaccines manufactured in the EU, amid a row with vaccine manufacturer AstraZeneca, and warnings of a brewing vaccine war with the UK. The regulation has faced strong objection from the World Health Organization.
