(VOVWORLD) - UK Secretary of State for Defense Ben Wallace met with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg on Tuesday to discuss the current situation near the Ukraine border.

The British Ministry of Defense tweeted that they will continue to observe the situation at the border.
On Wednesday, the Russian Embassy in the United States asked Washington to stop blaming Moscow for the deteriorating situation in Ukraine, one day after spokesman for the US State Department Ned Price said Russia, not Ukraine or the US, is to blame for the escalation of tensions.
Russian President Vladimir Putin recently talked on the phone with French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz about security in the EU and Ukraine.
