On Monday, Brexit minister David Davis confirmed that the Department for Exiting the European Union had conducted an analysis of 50 sectors of the economy. However, UK cabinet members refused to publish the full findings of the investigations, arguing that some findings “would undermine the Government’s ability to negotiate the best deal for Britain” were they made public.
On Monday the UK government announced that it wants to stay in the EU customs union for a couple of years after the UK officially leaves the EU in March, 2019. A soft Brexit proposal by Minister of Finance Philip Hammond is likely to approved which ensures that UK export activities will not be affected by Brexit.
