UK threatens to return radioactive waste to EU
(VOVWORLD) - Britain has put the EU on notice that it has the right to return radioactive waste to the EU after it leaves.

UK officials hope that raising complex questions over what should happen to Britain’s stockpile of radioactive materials - some of which originated from EU countries like Germany, Italy, and Sweden - will convince Brussels to take a more co-operative approach to the nuclear issue. Britain highlighted the responsibility of EU countries for some of the most dangerous and tightly-regulated nuclear substances.
