Deputy Head of Mission of the British Embassy in Hanoi Stephen Lysaght and Ms. Universe Vietnam 2017 H'Hen Niê send out a message on preventing human trafficking.

A ceremony was held in Cua Lo City, Nghe An province on Friday to o popularize round-the-clock support services freely provided by the hotline 111 for human trafficking victims  to improve public awareness of illegal migration and human trafficking in Vietnam.

With the message “Don't bet your future - illegal migration can make you a victim of human trafficking,” the  campaign encourages people to thoroughly consider their paths to become migrant workers, and understand risks they may face when they choose illegal immigration. 

Speaking at the event, Deputy Head of Mission of the British Embassy in Hanoi Stephen Lysaght said the UK and Vietnam are closely cooperating to fight this serious crime, and are raising awareness on the dangers of human trafficking for those who are vulnerable.
