UK welcomes CPTPP going into effect
(VOVWORLD) - UK Secretary of State for International Trade Liam Fox on Wednesday expressed optimism about the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) which will go into effect on December 30.

On Twitter, Fox called it a milestone in the spread of global, rules-based trade. Britain is reportedly exploring joining the CPTPP, as it maps out its trade future after Brexit. Fox said leaders from TPP countries – including Japanese President Shinzo Abe and Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison – have encouraged the UK to join the partnership.
