(VOVworld) - The Ukrainian Finance Minister has urged rich nations to provide more aid to rebuild Ukraine’s economy. Natalie Jaresko said the Group of Twenty (G20) and the Group of Seven industrialized countries should provide Ukraine more financial support than the 40-billion-USD bailout package pledged by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the European Union (EU). She said the financial support is critical for Ukraine because the cost of a failed state will be much greater. The year-long conflict in eastern Ukraine has pushed Ukraine’s economy into a serious crisis. Its public debt is forecast to rise 94% this year and will hit 103 billion USD by 2020.
