(VOVWorld) - Ukraine's parliament voted on Thursday to suspend military cooperation with Russia in a long-anticipated move that signals a further break in relations between both countries. The move, which follows Kiev's draft decree on suspending diplomatic relations with Moscow issued in February, will prevent Russia from transporting troops to Moldova, a land locked country, and from purchasing weapons only produced in Ukraine. Kiev and Moscow signed military cooperation agreement in Sochi, Russia in November, 1995 and the agreement was approved by Ukraine in 2002.
