(VOVworld) – Ukraine’s army is preparing to attack Donetsk, said Andrey Lysenko, a spokesperson for Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, at a press conference on Monday.

Lysenko denied to provide detailed information, but said that all information would be announced by the end of the campaign. He also reiterated that all the information about Donetsk’s siege would not be published.
Trinh Van Tien, Vice Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Donetsk, said that the government army had started to besiege the city from 3 sides, except the eastern side towards Russia. He added that most of the Vietnamese people in Donetsk had evacuated, but a few had stayed to protect their properties and houses which had shelters to avoid shells. Novorossiya news agency said that 702 Ukrainian soldiers in Shahtersk city, eastern Ukraine, had surrendered, but the early information had not been verified by other sources.
