(VOVworld) - The Ukrainian army on Tuesday regained control of the strategically important town of Severodonetsk from separatists in the Eastern region. The Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs on Tuesday reported that Ukraine's security forces were in control of "all the vital facilities" in the city of around 110,000 people. Severodonetsk is located roughly 120 kilometres to the north of the key rebel stronghold of Donetsk. The same day, the Ukrainian parliament passed a presidential decree to call up more military reserves and men under 50 to participate in the military campaign in eastern Ukraine and defend the border with Russia.
