(VOVworld) – Ukraine’s Parliament approved a resolution on the transfer of power from President Viktor Yanukovych to the new Parliament speaker Alexandre Turchinov in an emergency meeting on Sunday.

The decision was made despite President Yanukovych’s statement that all Parliament’s decisions are illegal. The Parliament also passed other resolutions to confiscate president Yanukovych’s Palace and dismiss Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara. The Parliament issued an arrest warrant for Chairman of the State Tax Service Oleksander Klimenko and former Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka. Caretaker President Turchinov will establish a national unity government on Tuesday.
