Council
members will hear a report from the Organization for Security and Co-operation
in Europe, whose observers are monitoring the ceasefire in eastern Ukraine. So
far, the UN Security Council has carried out 30 sessions on conflict in Ukraine. Although warring
parties in Ukraine have started
withdrawing heavy weapons from the front line, conflicts erupted in Ukraine
injuring a number of people. The Ukrainian government claimed that three
Ukrainian soldiers were killed in the past 24 hours, despite the cease-fire,
saying these incidents puts the truce agreement recently reached in Minsk at risk.
