UN to hold emergency session on Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem
(VOVWORLD) - The 193-member UN General Assembly will hold a rare emergency special session on Thursday at the request of Arab and Muslim states on US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

At the meeting, the organization’s 193 members will vote on a resolution urging Trump to rescind his Jerusalem recognition. Iran's Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the recognition, calling it "provocative and unwise" and "a flagrant breach of international resolutions." Kuwait followed with an expression of profound regret of the US decision.
